About Me

I am an IATSE local 891 and local 44 Property Master home based in Santa Monica with my own in-house build and 3D print shop. I love to create anything and everything. I love Prop Mastering all film, big or small, Indie to Feature. If asked what I love most I’d say my favorite style of film to Prop Master varies, its really all about the script, if the script catches me I’m in! There is no greater feeling than the anticipation of the arrival of an unopened first script. What is the world I am going to enter?. What will I get to create to bring the Director's vision to life?. How will I help our actors become the character they are going to portray?

My mentor once said our film and TV world has been on an incredible technological ride in the past decade, but at it’s heart, it always comes down to script and performance. Our job as Prop Master is to support the performance behind the scenes. There are no awards for Props; no fanfare. In reality if done well, nobody notices Props, as we blend into the scenery seamlessly. Perhaps the reason there are no awards for Props is because when we are that good at our craft, nobody knows we are there. We are the silent magicians of the scene that make the set come alive. At the end of a film when the script is closed for the last time, there is newfound knowledge, and there is a sense of pride in our craft. Then there is anticipation of what the next adventure will be when that unopened script lands on our desk and the cycle starts all over again.
